Ride The Wave

Change is the one constant and for this reason, we cannot avoid loss.

Loss is inevitable and the longer you live the more loss you are going to acquire. This is a belief that I communicate to others (and remind myself of) on a fairly regular basis.

Accepting this truth is paramount to any healing journey you find yourself on as you go through life.

If we fail to move through our grief then we are simply making the road much more difficult to transverse.  Grief is a necessary and natural part of being a human being.  I don’t ever want you to be overwhelmed or feel as if your ability to cope is outstripped, but the only way through is really through.

Be gentle.

Have courage.

Process through your feelings with people you trust.

Ride the wave…

……because the good feelings may not last but neither do the painful ones.  Learning to ride the wave will prevent you from being caught in the riptide.

Breathe.

Speak Your Mind
