Seeking out therapy can be incredibly difficult, and the fact that you are here means you are looking for transformative healing. We do the best we can with the information available to us. Sometimes, the way that we have handled challenges of the past, are no longer serving us. This is where I come in, to give you the tools to tackle challenges that are causing stress in your life. I want to walk beside you in a journey of self-discovery that helps you take back your life. We will create a space together in which no subject is too taboo, and I will accept you for exactly who you are.

A specialty of mine is working with teenagers, ages 13 to 18. With the teen years comes a delicate balance of navigating the safety of youth, with the exploration of independence. These are the crucial years in which teens are finding their voice and I am here to help them do that.

I use a combination of dialectical behavioral therapy and existentialism to help you find meaning and peace in your life. I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and variety of personality disorders. I understand how powerful it is to have a therapist that holds hope for you and believes in you, even when you may not believe in yourself. I can be the therapist to hold hope for you.

On my days off I enjoys walks with my dog, lifting weights, and enjoying a good hike.

Understanding ourselves and our relationships is one of the hardest and most rewarding things we can do. We are made of so many different parts, influences and drives. Sorting through all of it on a daily basis, let alone when our life gets turned upside down or with another person, is often overwhelming. Sometimes what we need is someone to come with, and help unpack the multifaceted uniqueness that is us and our relationships. This is my passion, and there is nothing I would rather be doing than listening to your story, and creating a space where you can be the most authentic and full version of yourself without shame or pretense.

I am a trained clinician completing an accredited masters level counseling program. I have worked with a wide variety of people in the mental health field for the last eight years . I currently specialize in helping people through major life transitions, and working with couples to create the relationships they want. I come from a primarily narrative and existential approach, integrated with the practical steps of cognitive behavioral therapy. I love helping people make sense of the story of their life, and find where the big questions fit into who they are, while also offering practical skills to turn goals into workable steps.

I grew up in a number of different countries, and am always delighted to learn about new cultures. On my days off I enjoy playing strategy board games or finding new ways to try to tire out my border collie.

Seeking therapy can be incredibly daunting. Questions surrounding what type of therapy you need, what kind of therapists will work best for you or if utilizing therapy will affect your career, can create barriers to finding care for yourself or your loved ones. By overcoming these questions and continuing your search means you are ready to take steps towards a transformative journey.

Change is difficult, self-reflection can be scary and visiting trauma terrifying. This is where I as a therapist can be of assistance. My goal as your therapist is to understand where you have come from, meet you where you are now and walk with you to where you want to go. I enjoy working with each client in a holistic manner, creating tailored treatments for your unique needs incorporating behavioral, narrative and systems therapies.

I have experience working with depression, addiction, family dysfunction, as well as primary and secondary trauma experienced in the line of duty. I understand the importance of having a safe place with and individual who sees all that you are and can hold the weight of your needs and hopes.

On my days off I enjoy adventures with my family, tea, books, swimming, and classic car shows.
