When we are not reaching our goals, constantly feeling stuck with where we are, and frustrated with our lack of movement we are risk of feeling discouraged, hopeless, and even depressed. We are tempted to give up at these moments and blame our lack of progress on ourselves and our shortcomings. If this is you know that beating yourself up isn’t going to help and it could in fact make things even harder. You can’t really move forward by belittling yourself.
Holding steady at the time you want to throw in the towel is critical because this is where you can actually push through to the next level. If your “why” hasn’t helped propel the changes you want then find another “why.” And let’s be clear, if you are chasing after something (or someone) that is not about what you truly want or deserve then your “why” is more than likely the problem…not you.
